What Cat Wore: Skeleton Girl

I love a little fancy dress, especially on Halloween. It's a time to be creative, inventive and scare some people too! If you've got an Outfit store near you, you may have noticed we all made an effort to dress up for Halloween, giving a few of you a fright, and making a lot of you laugh!
Today I was a Skeleton Girl at work! My costume was in the form of a catsuit, so it was super easy and comfortable to wear for a Halloween work day. I picked this suit up from eBay for about £20 which I thought was a bargain compared to some of the ones I'd seen before, and it was the only one I really liked out of all the skeleton suits I found. I loved it for it's baroque style print on the bones, and the fact that it was soooo comfortable. I had space for extra layers underneath too meaning I was nice and toasty all day and wasn't shivering all the way to the bone! Haha! Geddit!?!?
I'd always wanted to dress up as a skeleton, just so I could paint my face like one, so I knew I had to find an awesome design to pull it off! I took this half skeleton skull design from the amazing MUA, Lex. I found her YouTube Channel, Made U Look, and was amazed at her designs, as she does the most amazing Halloween themed make up, and when I saw this, I knew I just had to do it too! I scared a few people with it, and I don't think anyone could take me, or anyone else there seriously today, which was quite nice, since it was all in the spirit of Halloween and fun! I couldn't take anyone seriously, especially with friend and colleague Charlotte looking like an infected zombie, and a few others looking like witches, Bettlejuice and Jason of Friday the 13th! It was such a fun day, everyone had a good time and made and effort... even our manager dressed up!

Did you do anything fun today for Halloween or get dressed up for work?
Leave your Halloween blog posts in the comment box below, I'd love to have a look at them :)

Also apologies for the image quality and detail, but I didn't have the time to take any proper outfit photos this morning, since I'd left the house super early and arrived back home super late. Sorries :(

What Cat Wore: Psycho Girl Halloween Costume

Asylum Escapee Costume - Fun Party Ltd
Tights with DIY holes - Fun Party Ltd (similar linked)
White Out Daily Contacts - Fun Party Ltd

So this happened last night! Me and the boyfriend were invited to a friend's Birthday/Halloween party and we went all out on our costumes! He went as the joker (prosthetic make-up and all!) and I went as his crazy psychotic girlfriend basically! I loved this outfit too much not to get it, so I did buy it last minute. I only went to get face paint, liquid latex and white out lenses... You can check out a couple of extra photos of me and blogging bestie Jess at the party on my Instagram!
I thought since I get to do Halloween twice I could get away with having two outfits, one for yesterday and one for Thursday. And I don't regret getting this one, one bit! It was so cool, and different and in case you're wondering I had holes I could get my hands out of very easily, but I didn't really need to because the stretchy material meant I could move my hands freely inside anyway, haha!
I had so much fun doing my make up too, creeping myself up for the party. I paled up my skin, added grey shadow lines and went all out on the eyes! I was pretty proud of it, until I started rubbing it off half way through the night. After a while face paint just gets uncomfortable doesn't it?

We had such a good night and I'm pretty impressed with John keeping his Joker wig on all night! He hated the hair being in his face all the time. And he just looked amazing with his fake scars too. I didn't even recognise him when he picked me up! I commend his sister's cosmetic work!

Thursday I'm dressing up as a skeleton for work! Can't wait to spook it up again.
Are you dressing up for Halloween at all?

Wishlist #43 - Christmas Edition!

A Christmas List is something we all make. Whether it be in our heads, in the back of a notebook, in a blog post for everyone to see... ("ehem.") And it is always going to be a list of beautiful things that you've collected and compiled over the year to create a pretty list of all the things you want and love in one place.
The boyfriend said once that Christmas and Birthday presents are always things you want but would never buy for yourself, and in a way I believe him! I would never go out and just buy any of the things on my list unless I had super-spare cash burning a hole in my pocket... Which is never.
This is my Christmas list for this year, in the form of one of my many wishlists. It's been carefully selected and I believe all the things on here are more than beautiful, or cute, and perhaps some aren't needed. But hey, here it is:

River Island Mongolian Fur Tote - This is all Lily Melrose's fault! After she showed off her beautiful new bag on her YouTube channel I fell in love with it and I cannot find a bag that can compare to how beautiful this one is. It must be so soft...
Topshop Fur Collar Biker - I don't need another coat, but it somehow makes sense to buy a new one every year. I love this one from Topshop and stare at it every time I walk past it at work... Maybe I will get it after Christmas if it dips into the sale, but it's still on my list for Christmas!
YSL Rouge Volupté Shine - A designer lipstick has always been something I've wanted. And I've heard nice things about these YSL ones. I'd love it in a bright pink, or a beautiful coral colour.
Bunny Lamp - How adorable! This would easily replace my current lamp. Anything to make a room a little cosier, and a little cuter all at the same time!
Jackelope Cotton Wool Holder - I spotted this on the UO website a few weeks back and couldn't stop laughing at the cute dispensing system. Since then, I decided that this would make make up and nail polish removal so much fun.
Marc Jacobs Henry 36.5mm - I've always wanted a decent watch and this pretty simple number from Marc Jacobs fits the bill to match up with all my other silver and white gold jewellery. I also love the bright pink detailing and polka dots! Very me!
Ted Baker Lidia Purse - Who's not ever wanted one of these!? I would have loved one with the doggie clip but they don't make them any more, my second favourite was always this pink and purple one. I love that there's always little frenchie dog prints on the inside of all the purses. Cute no?
Moschino Augustino for iPhone 5 - In January I will be upgrading to the iPhone 5S and I have started my search for the best iPhone case that will take over my new phone and stay on it forever. Which ventured me into the likes of designer cases by Moschino! I've seen Milkteef's and a few other blogger's cases by the brand and loved them all. Moschino only a few days ago released Augustino the Panda and Violetta the Bunny and I'm loving Augustino so much! Someone get me this pleeeaaase?
Gift Cards - Who doesn't love a gift card. Money you HAVE to spend on fashion... Yes please!
Marc Jacobs Honey - Everyone everyone everyone raves about this and I want to try the hype! The description on the Boots website says the fragrance is sunny and energetic. I have yet to smell it but if it's as good as everyone says I'm bound to love it.
Enrapture Totem Styler - My lovely lovely boyfriend bought me GHDs last year for my birthday and I was shocked and super excited to use them, and they have been probably my most used gift ever! Unfortunately my hair doesn't curl with the GHDs, and just fall straight again (even though my hair is curly anyway!?) so a pair of curlers to do the job would be lovely! A swap between two styles is always fun, and I've heard these curlers are probably one of the best around right now?
PUPPY! - I am obsessed with little puppies at the moment and send pictures to John alllll the time of puppies, dogs and all sorts. I can't hep but really want one of these wrinkly fellas! They're cute big and small, and everyone who knows me knows that that puppy would never be just for Christmas! I would cuddle that thing for everrrrr.
Jeffrey Campbell Lita Daisy - These boots are just beautiful! I love the print and they would look great with everything! It's so girly as well which I love, and I've been looking for something girly like this for a while now. Seems everyone's doing masculine boots these days. I prefer girly, so it's Daisy print for me!
Warehouse Tapestry Floral Dress - Warehouse make the most perfect dresses, and I can't seem to find dresses that I'm absolutely loving from any other brand. I have this dress in a different print, but you could always have more in different ones can't you?
Warehouse Oriental Playsuit - I didn't even know Warehouse did playsuits, and after seeing this on the website I was in love! I saw this print in one of their shirts in store, and I loved it. To see it on a smart playsuit makes me love it more. I just wish they weren't so expensive...
Cambridge Satchel Classic 14" Pink - I always said when I find my dream job where I need a special work bag I would get one of these. I'm not too sure when that time will come, but I'm becoming impatient. I'm sure my time will come, but I just truly adore these satchels, and a pastel pink like this would be just lovely!

My Christmas list seems a little... a lot long. But with all the festive excitement I was endlessly dream shopping online and found too many pretty things. Shops have to stop making such amazing things for poor ones like me to see, and then want lots. I'm really trying to not shop for myself at all until after Christmas, as it's Christmas presents shopping time from now until the big day... I think I know what I'm getting everyone and I've just bought my first gift too!
I should be going shopping in a couple of weeks with the boyfriend on our week off, can't wait all the presents sorted, so I can forget the stress of it all in December!
Have you started shopping for Christmas gifts yet?
Leave your wishlists below if you've made one up already too!

New Glasses: Missoni 55

It has been about 2 years since my last eye test, so I thought I would finally spend a little bit more money on my new glasses. And since my last pair were ruined I needed some new ones anyway.
My eyesight isn't bad, I only need glasses is for concentrated tasks like reading, writing, looking at a TV or computer monitor and driving in the dark. I do a lot of these things so I knew I needed to make it a healthy habit of wearing them more often, and because of my newest glasses being so pretty and wearable, I have!

Missoni 55 - Specsavers

I decided that I'd finally join Specsavers, since I've only heard good things... and because they had a buy one get one free on all designers glasses in store so I was excited to shop their frames after my test...
After having a cheeky look online the day before I saw this beautiful frame from Missoni and I knew I wanted them. Luckily for me they had them in store and the only thing I was going to have trouble with was choosing a second pair! I did get a lovely pair, but that's to show off in another post...

These Missoni 55 frames are a beautiful rectangular style, made in pretty lilac/purple crystal plastic with a yellow colour on the inner side of the glasses. The rectangular frame won me over as it suits my face shape perfectly, I'm usually gutted by a pretty frame in the wrong shape for me... and I was doubly won over by the beautiful gold and purple simple pattern on the side of the glasses too, for a simple yet pretty statement look.
They also came in the prettiest tan hard case, perfect for me since I'm awful at keeping them intact otherwise.

I've worn these a lot since I got them, they look girly and smart all at the same time, and they go with a lot of hair styles and outfits too. I love a new pair of glasses and I hadn't been so excited about glasses before so I knew these would be a good investment. I paid £155 all in for two pairs and my other ones have a anti-glare coating for when I'm driving at night, so I always carry both pairs with me. I kind of wish I got it on these too but at £30 each for coating I was kind of going over my limit already. I think these are more day time anyway being a light colour so that was my initial excuse for not getting it on these, and my other ones are a lot darker, so they seem more evening wear anyway. I'll show you those next time though...

So what do you think of my new specs? I feel like look like Velma from Scooby Doo in the first picture... Maybe it's the new fringe. Zoiks!

Topshop Blush - Head Over Heels

Discovering how good Topshop make up is, I knew I would be buying a Topshop Blusher, and on my search for a coral colour I chose the shade "Head Over Heels".

At first sight I believed it to be a coral orange with a touch of pink and a little shimmer for a subtle glow. My opinion on the colour changed once I actually applied it, and it appeared to be more the opposite, but a coral pink with a touch of orange. It's not too much of a bother for me as I think it's a pretty shade of pink that I didn't have before, but this means I'm still looking for my perfect orange/coral blush.

The product comes in the cutest polka dot packaging, and inside has a super handy mirror for blush application on the go. The compact closes really well too, which I like. This may sound weird, but I dislike those ones where the closing mechanism deteriorates and doesn't work any more, meaning product just ends up everywhere. Important if you're carrying it in your bag with you!
The product itself is lovely going from a cream based product to feeling like a powder based product when applied. It is so easy to apply too, by just using a finger to dot product on to cheeks and blending! The image below doesn't do any justice to it as you can barely see it, but it's a little more vivid in the flesh. I love the application, the colour and the packaging so it's definitely worth the £6 I paid, or less if you minus staff discount.

I'm definitely impressed by the blusher, and am thinking of getting another colour! Why not when you get that staff discount hey!? Cheeky...
Have you got any of the Topshop Blushes? Which ones would you recommend getting?

What Cat Wore: Right On Time

Cami - Charity Shop
Midi Skirt - Topshop
Cardigan - Dorothy Perkins
Boots * - Sperry Top Sider (no longer available)
Watch * - The Watch Hut

Earlier on in the week I was excited to be kindly gifted a much long-lusted-for, and beautiful Casio watch by the people at The Watch Hut. When it arrived, I waited no time at all to put it on and I've fallen in love with my new watch. The beautiful retro silver watch with a burgundy face is just perfect with it's simplicity and versatility. It's gorgeous silver colour matches all my jewellery works perfectly for everyday outfits. I always loved a digital too, for impeccable time keeping every day! My mum also informed me that she had one exactly the same, colour and all when she was about 11 or 12 years old. She loves it, and I think she may be a little jealous! Hehe!

I've been attempting to step on the edges of my style box recently, by trying new styles and colours. I would never really go for yellow, but I was always drawn to this this mustard/olive coloured midi skirt from Topshop. It's such a strange shade, but I love it and I love the style of the skirt. I've always preferred skater styled midis, so this was a mini investment from the sale at £15... plus a cheeky staff discount! The double splits just add so much more to it, and I can't wait to see how many different ways I can wear this. It's the sort of skirt that works all year round.  I will say although... It's a creaser. I dislike a creaser but this is an exception as it is too beautiful to dislike. I'll deal with it!
This time I thought I would brighten up the day with my lovely tropical floral cami I got from a charity shop not so long ago. I love the colour contrast, and that it works so well with the colour of the skirt, and of course it being autumn, I added tights with my trusty chelsea boots and my newest cardigan from Dorothy Perkins.
Dorothy Perkins has a lot of lovely stuff this Autumn/Winter and I keep eyeing up all their pretty knitwear and skirts. I bought this cardigan on my uniform and I love the contrast in textures. You can't see in the photo, but if you click on the link you can see what I mean. The fluffy body with the chunky knit sleeves make any outfit look comfortable and on trend!

It's getting really cold now isn't it? I'm going to make a cup of tea, change into my comfy PJs and geek it up on Final Fantasy 10. That's my Sunday evening sorted. Anyone else familiar with the game?

Wishlist #42

Knee High Slouchy Boots - I don't know where the sudden want for these came from... But I have always wanted a pair of these. I think for the winter they'd look nice with a skater dress or skirt outfit, and with jeans for a casual day. Am I being totally unfashionable for wanting these?
Tartan Crop Top - I still haven't added a little tartan to my life. I'm not understanding why I haven't but no, I still haven't invested. I love this crop top to go with my pleather skirt and my bowler hat!
Hidden Bloom Skater Skirt - I need a few more skirts, I realised the other day I have no skirt variation but the few favourites and some ones I wonder when I liked. I think I've spent too much on trousers I'm hardly going to wear. I love this skirt from Nasty Gal! The colours are different to what I'd normally go for, but it's cute and has a pretty floral-camo print. I think it'd look great with a cute white top or jumper!
Acid Wash Denim Shift Dress - After seeing a few people wearing the denim dress around recently I really want one and I'm a bit worried about looking weird in one. I hadn't seen one I'd liked until I browsed the Missguided website and found this cute shift dress there. It looks oversized and like it would look good with a belt too. What do you think?
Sleek Face Contour Kit - I haven't invested in a decent contour kit yet and with a nearby Superdrug now stocking Sleek make-up I'm excited to add a little Sleek to my collection! Especially a contour kit like this one as well as a few of their pretty blushers and eye shadow palettes!
Gold Bones Leggings - With Halloween due in a couple of weeks I'm having to think of an outfit to wear to work for it since we're dressing up. I want something fashionable yet spooky! Has anyone got any ideas they'd like to share?
Lilac Fluffy Pocket Cardi - I neeeed this. Not just because it's lilac but because I love the fluffy knit and I need a cardigan that's long, not white and not black. This one. Or a pink one please? And maybe a few short cardis while we're at it for the winter...
What are you adding to your wishlist this week?

Bioderma Sebium Purifying and Foaming Cleansing Gel

A couple of months ago I posted about Bioderma's famous Sensibio H2O loved by a lot of beauty bloggers. I was a little late on the band wagon, but I hopped on and fell in love with it. I've used it up, but haven't bought another one since, but that's because I've got this which I was given as a gift along the Sensibio H2O. This is top on my new beauty favourites:

Bioderma's Sebium Purifying and Foaming Cleansing Gel - escentual.com

Bioderma's Sebium Purifying and Foaming Cleansing Gel. It is a 2 in one product, which removes make up and cleanses skin, all at the same time! The Sebium Gel is so easy to use, and so kind to skin as it is made with non-irritant products meaning it is kind to eyes and is soap-free which is good for sensitive skin.

I've been using this at least once a day, usually at night before bed. I'm awful at keeping up with my skin care routine in the morning, but I never go to bed without using this! I've been using it everyday religiously for about a month now, and my skin's definitely been feeling a lot more purified and fresh.

As for specifics, the lather built up from the one or two pumps isn't as foamy as I'd like it or expected it to be again. It still very much has a liquid like consistency but does the job anyway, so I don't find this being too much of a problem. When it came to washing around the eyes, at first I was very cautious not to get any in my eyes. But needless to say I hadn't had much to worry about, since there was no stinging. I have got a little in my eyes before and I will say it was a little irritating, but nothing easily handled by wiping away the product.

I love this, because although I've been using is a everyday for over a month I've still got over half a bottle left! It's something that I will definitely be repurchasing, because it works and it lasts long too. I will be repurchasing the Bioderma Sensibio H2O along with it just because I prefer that around the eyes than this, just because it's easier to remove and good for when I'm feeling a little lazy. I'd definitely recommend it and it is a pain to buy from online, but I love it enough to get it. I will be buying it from escentual.com just because they do the full Bioderma range and at a good price!

Have you tried any other Bioderma products? Which ones your favourite?

Winter with a Bang

With the winter coming up very quickly, and the weather taking a turn for the colder this week, it seemed to be the perfect time for a hair change. My caramel highlights got lighter and lighter over the summer from the sun, and my roots were outgrown by about two inches! With my significantly darker hair underneath it wasn't a good look, and after a little visit to my mum's friend who's a hairdresser I came away with this brand new look:

Bowler Hat - eBay

I didn't realise how different I would look and though I've had this hair cut a couple of days now I'm still not used to it! I've received so many lovely compliments from people about my new hair make-over and how much it suits me. Some people didn't even recognise me at work!
I opted for a rich dark chocolate colour and a nice full fringe to keep my little head warm! I haven't had a fringe for about four years now, so it's a weird feeling but I'm so glad I got it done, because I was indecisive about it at first. I'd been also juggling the idea of going darker or lighter for a month but I knew that going lighter wouldn't work with my skin tone so returning back to my dark brunette colour was the perfect choice. The colour is just perfect and with my highlights from the previous colour underneath, my hair looks multi-tonal in the light which I love. I'm so happy with the outcome and it's so much better than anything I could of done with an at home kit!

I feel right on trend with my new hair! I know it's probably not what's on trend but I do really think it suits me perfectly. I'm still not sure how to photograph myself, because I think I look weird in most photos, and after looking like Miss Vain taking hundreds today, I stuck with one I posted on Instagram yesterday with my newest hat I got it from eBay for a few quid . I LOVE it, and think my new hair makes me suit hats great! I may be a little bit late with the bowler hat trend, but whatevs. I may have a new obsession.

Wishlist #41

Doggie's Print Sweater - Okay, so every once in a while I get a crazy want. This is it. My boyfriend knows fully well know how obsessed I am puppies right now and have sent him countless puppy photos. So I'm sharing my love of doggies with you after I saw this sweater on Romwe. I can't believe they make crazy stuff like this for crazy people like me! This would be strictly a chill out sweat if it ever came into my possession.
Blue Geometric Midi Skirt - I first set eyes on this beaut when I was reading Look magazine at work this week. I tracked it down online and think the print is just beautiful and the colour works so well. I'm liking that skater style midi skirts are in because I'm not too good with the tube ones.
Tea Drinker Mug - It's getting colder again, and tea is becoming a more common drink than it was before! I think I'd like this mug because it looks simple and smart. The perfect work mug really!
Seventeen Stay Pout - After reading Kirstie's post on these new bad boys by Seventeen I really really want one. In most of the colours... Someone help, I think I have a lipstick hoarding problem. Boots are going to ban me from there soon.
Faux Leather & Fur Handbag - I'm on the search for my next new bag. I've been using the same one for the last year almost and it's starting to fall apart slowly. I don't want to get rid of it because it was present from the boyfriend and I want to be able to use it again later on. I've got my eyes on this one at the moment. I attempted to find another one on the H&M website that I saw in Look that was pink and gold but I couldn't find it. I like this one though for the zips, simple detailing. All you need!
Marc Jacobs Dot - Everyone raves about this perfume and every one that comes out after it! I want to try it out, and I haven't been able to smell it yet. What does it smell like ladies? And would you recommend it?
Genius At Work Notebook - I love a good notebook. And the quote is a bit big-headed and cheeky but I like it that way. I'd love to use this at work on my lunch breaks for blog notes and what not. It would match my mug nicely... Haha!

Share a wishlist that you've posted on your blog with me.
I love reading them as much as posting them!

Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

Benefit has always been a brand I thought far too expensive for my likings, I've never been too sure about spending the money on any of their items, but after seeing this hyped and reading about this, I thought if Benefit spent 3 years creating this, then it's got to be something special.
It's an ongoing battle with most of us beauty bloggers: to find out Holy Grail foundation that we're going to love and buy again when it runs out. It was always between the No7 Stay Perfect or Maybelline Fit Me, but now I think I found may have found my newest favourite foundation.

Benefit's Hello Flawless Foundation boasts SPF 25 protection as well as a being oil free. On top of this, they are proud of their new foundation technology that allows the skin to breathe, which I have to love. I'm very concious of my skin's health these days and this was the winning factor for me when I was speaking to the lovely Benefit sales lady who was seeing which shade suited me best.
I went for the Honey shade, fitting my olive skin tone nicely, being a yellow toned foundation. It has a light-medium coverage, and evened out my skin tone really nicely which I find important in a foundation as my cheeks are a noticeably paler than the rest of my face without make up.
The foundation comes in the prettiest simple packaging with a pump for easy dispensing, the perfect way to apply foundation without spilling half a bottle on your hand. When dispensing, the liquid is watery and light in consistency, but applies great with either fingers, or a brush. I applied this with a Real Techniques powder brush as well as fingers and found the same results, but of course it's all down to preference.
When applied the foundation feels fresh, light on the skin, and hydrating. It doesn't feel heavy at all, and almost like you're not wearing any foundation at all. I've noticed a significant difference in my make-up looks too, as my skin looks much brighter and healthier when I'm done.

To summarise: winning factors for me are the fact that it lets your skin breathe through, the consistent colour and evening of skin tone, the lightweight feel, and hydration. These being because I have very dry skin, and uneven skin tones as well as caring a lot about my skins health. I haven't yet noticed if it's lasted all day or not as I'm using this as my weekend foundation rather than wasting it on days to work, so that opinion is yet to come but from what I've experienced so far over the last couple of weeks, I haven't got any complaints on wear. I think the only thing I don't like is how it's not very photo-flash friendly. Tip: powder up! All in all, I think this is definitely worth a repurchase when I run out, and honestly love this foundation! I would recommend it if you're contemplating trying it out.

What Cat Wore: Paisley Prints

Paisley Tee - Miss Selfridge
Denim Skater Skirt - Topshop
Flatforms - Primark

Oh hello! I thought today I could share with you my latest outfit. I wore this yesterday visiting the boyfriend for one of our many date nights in. We're addicted to watching Breaking Bad at the moment since everyone's been telling us how much we have to watch it. We didn't know what all the fuss was about but we soon found out. We're on the second series now and I can't wait to watch the rest! NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

Back to the outfit: This is my most recent naughty purchase. I really wanted this beauty the minute I saw it come in my delivery at work, and I'm not often one to buy things the minute it comes in, but I just had to have this one. It works so well dressed up or down, and has the loveliest silky, high quality feel to it. I bought it in a size 12 where usually I'm a size 10 because it was a bit tight on the bust and the arms. The material doesn't give much and I wanted some decent moving room so buying a size bigger meant it fit perfectly.
I wore it previously with my distressed boyfriend jeans, but the outfit photos for that came out a little naff, but luckily these ones came out nicely! I love this outfit so much, and it's one of those that really make me feel comfortable and myself in. It's the waisted skirt and the vivid print that I love and sums my style up nicely.

On an off note, my roots coming up really badly now... I didn't realise how light my hair had got! But now the weather is turning for the winter, it's time for a change of style. I won't tell you what I'm doing yet, but it will be different! It's happening this week so expect a post at some point. No chopping off huge lengths though... Never again!

Wishlist #40

After shopping this week for a new pair of glasses, I ended up buying two on a buy one get one free deal at Specsavers, so I'm not wishing for too much this week after spending a little! In fact not too much for the rest of the month! I did although spot three pretty dresses that I fell for this week that I will add on to the endless wishlist...

Ofelita Velvet Skater Dress - I love a simple dress, and this velvet dress in a royal blue is perfect this season! So many ways to wear it as a dress made for winter. I'm thinking tights, a pair of out there boots and a coat with a fur stole swung over for a date night out look.
Gabey Rose Embellished Swing Dress - Ooooooh. Isn't this one just the prettiest sparkly one of them all!? I spotted this one of them all first, and fell in love with it being a swing dress and completely embellished. I'm not an owner of a swing dress yet but I really do want one. Maybe not as loud as this yet, but it could bring me to buy this later on as a Christmas party dress!
Floral Velvet Body Con Dress - After seeing this when it popped in stores this week I instantly fell in love with it. It's so much more vivid in colour and print than in the picture and it's no doubt I need it in my life! Such a pretty dress... Will someone buy it for me please? Or all three???

I couldn't pick which one out of the three though... If you had to get one. Which one would you pick?

What Cat Wore: To The Waffle House

Dress - Warehouse
Cardigan - F&F
Pumps - New Look

Most Sundays I like to dress up and I thought I would wear my latest 'posh' dress this Sunday to go out for Waffles with the other half. I bought this for a special occasion about two weeks ago and never wore it, so I thought I would finally wiggle into it and have a day where I felt a little more 'grown up' as well as 'dressed up'.
I say grown up like I'm still a teenager. At almost twenty four I think I am grown up, haha! On that note although, I am attempting to make my wardrobe look a little more grown up, by attempting to make it more smart casual rather than just casual-casual. I think I'm aiming for a little more versatility and... maturity I guess is the word I'm looking for. I want more shirts, and chiffon blouses to go with skater skirts and printed trousers. (A little poetry there.) I want things that feel nice as well as look nice... And expensive! Even if they are not. I think I'm finally ready to ditch a lot of the old and invest in new staple pieces. I see a blog sale coming on...
This dress is the beginning of my attempts, and I honestly felt so pretty and dressed up in my jersey floral and bird print dress! I thought of dressing this up with a blazer but that's more for work wear. I settled for my fluffy cardigan as we were going out for a nice little treat to the Waffle House. It felt smart-casual... What I'm going for!

If you read My September post you probably read my bit about the waffles not being amazing. As you can see they looked it! But the tea was our highlight, being in a pot, the English Breakfast sort, and there's something about having brown sugar in your tea that just makes it just... perfect. As for waffles, I had mine with chocolate sauce and banana. How do you like yours?
