What Cat Wore: Puppies!

 Tee - Topshop | Cardigan - Primark | Shorts - Krisp | Shoes - Primark

So walking around Topshop the other day, I spotted this tee, picked it up, and walked straight to the tills. I just had to have it! Definitely my most impulsive purchase ever, and it's not my fault Tee and Cake make the best tees ever; But I couldn't help but fall for the five absolutely adorable vintage pups printed on the front of this tee. I love the roll up sleeves and the high neck, and without a doubt I'll be wearing this super cute tee to death! I mean c'mon... ISN'T IT JUST ADORABLE!?
But I will admit, not as adorable as this Schnauzer passing out after seeing a very missed family member after two years. Watch it, it's got 26 million views on YouTube already and it's not even been up a week!
I had a bit of a mare trying to take photos of this outfit, but I gave up after a million washed out photos. I got one decent one though, and now I think I need to give myself a lesson on photography and how to take decent photos again... I'm losing it!

What Cat Wore: To Get The Job

Courts - Primark
Blazer - Dorothy Perkins
Sunglasses - Boots // Bourjois Paris

Good news in Cat's world! I got a new job! I couldn't believe my luck when I found out yesterday that I got the job I was offered to interview for, especially after a weekend of debate in my head about how I should get it, and why I might not get it and the fear of finding out terrorising me! I was told I'd find out Monday or Tuesday, so to find out early Monday morning I was just felt elated with my news and that I would be starting my new job in just two weeks time.
I wore this beautiful 'Art Pop' scuba mixed print dress for the interview on Saturday, and smartened it up with a simple black blazer and my trusty red courts. I wanted to look smart and stylish at the same time, and I think I achieved it! This dress is so comfortable on and the back is so pretty with that cut out. I love the clashing prints too. It's not something I'd normally pick up, but I'm glad I did!
So hooray to me for fresh new starts and a step up in my career path!

Confessions Of A Blogger

Whilst blog reading the other day and discovering new ones, I came across Corrine's blog: Skinnedcartree.com! She wrote a post that made me laugh and smile called Confessions Of A Blogger. I wanted to write my own version of it, of course inspired by Corrine. Everyone has their blog related secrets, and these are mine - I'm sure some of us share a couple...!

  • I cringe when people talk about my blog to me - I'm still slightly embarrassed by it, even though I'm secretly proud of my little space on the internet.
  • The only person who I'll ask to help me with my blog photos ever is my 11 year old sister. She's my little photographer when I need rush photos or my tripod is lost! See all photos that have a slant for her photography skills...
  • I'll won't take photos if anyone is around or my neighbours are in the garden next door because I don't want people seeing me pose away solo!
  • I care about blog stats a lot and check them everyday. Post success, page views, and comments are important to me - It makes me very happy!  Don't pretend you don't care too!
  • I like to reply to every comment... There are times where I won't reply straight away but I always back track to my last replied comments and bulk reply to them all ♥
  • I'm always jealous of your amazing photography skills, and how it's always so bright and pretty even though it's pouring with rain outside or you've taken your photos at night - email me how you do it.
  • I'm the messiest person you'll ever meet. Ask me in person and I won't admit this for the bestest yummiest cupcake in the world.
  • That said, I'm very organised. It shows with my make up and re-organise it often to keep it looking good. I also like re-organising my wardrobe from time to time... Yes, I'm a messy organised person. Doesn't make sense does it?
  • I wish I took more photos. I used to be quite the photographer and then I stopped taking so many photos. I'm not talking outfit photos but everyday lifestyle ones and personal ones. Especially when I go out adventuring with John... We do so much more than I blog about! I'd like to even blog about the smallest of adventures, like trying a new restaurant or a walk in the park... And get back into documenting life with him better ♥
  • I don't do beauty posts often because I suck at taking photos for them before I use them! It's my blogger's pet peeve when people photograph things after they've used them and you can see they have, so I don't do it too!
  • I like a blog that's written as you would speak. I like imagining that person saying these things along side their outfit photos or as if they're reviewing it face to face. It feels more original!
  • I'd love to be successful from of blogging - I do blog because I love to, but imagine being able to do what you love for a living!? It would be like living the dream, and I wouldn't mind if it was a little hard work!
  • I'm inspired by bloggers of all types and ones with thousands of followers or hundreds. Some of my favourites are small like me! :)
  • You'll impress me if you use big words that aren't often used in everyday conversation, such as 'accentuate'.
  • I don't like blog posts without pictures. Sorry, I like visual stimulants and enjoy reading those posts more than ones without... Even if it was exactly the same post. Weird?
  • Don't even attempt follows for follows with me - I know you'll just unfollow me a month onwards so it looks like you have lots of followers. Either way you're not a genuine follower or blogger so... bog off!
  • I go through phases of followings loads of blogs. And then I can't keep up where I follow so many...
  • I also try and comment on your blog now and then. I wouldn't like you to think I'm not a genuine follower because I just followed you and never commented on your posts. I don't comment often but I do like to  go on a comment spree from time to time so you know I'm enjoying reading your blog even if I don't comment all the time.
  • I'm a secret(ish) shopaholic. I even bought a green bag used the excuse that I was inspired by the girl with the green scarf - she was successful because of her green scarf and I will be for my green bag. - Yes, taking inspirations from Confessions of a Shopaholic as an excuse for the purchase of a bright green bag. Naughty film... It's supposed to do the opposite of more shopping!
  • I'll sometimes only wear it if it's blog worthy. An awful way to think in a way, but I always want to dress my best, feel pretty and stylish, and compliment worthy in what I'm in. I often get dressed and think - "would I blog about this outfit?" even if I don't actually blog it with intention to or not. Yes, I have days where im in pijamas or lazy clothes, but this counts for those dressing up days! I always want to look my best, so this is why I think like this! Am I the only one who does this? I honestly hope not!
And I'll leave it there, on my possibly worst confession! If we share some, let me know in the comments below, or share your own confessions. I know I'm not the only one with blogging secrets!

What Cat Wore: Date Night Outfit for £25

Skirt - £3
Top - £8
Shoes - £14
All Primark - £25!

Who says you can't look cute on a budget!? A simple, bright and date night worthy outfit - especially on a hot sunny evening like this - all for just £25. Primark will always be one of my favourite high street stores and I can't help be that person who gets in the zone and will dig through to find my size in a hidden gem, or look for a good 15 minutes for the other pair to a shoe (which I did with these). It's a shopaholic, fashion blogger thing and I don't care to admit it! I adore this outfit - the jersey skirt staple piece you can buy for cheaper than a meal deal, the simple lace tee with the loveliest floral print and french phrase (ooh la la), and finally the staple shoes for the summer - a pair of chunky black sandals to wear with literally every outfit.

I was pretty dressed up for just a trip to Nando's but on a lovely day like this how can you not dress up!?

What Cat Wore: Pastel Sports Luxe

Basketball Top - Primark
Denim Shorts - Miss Selfridge
Converse - Very.co.uk

I'm not a huge fan of the sports luxe trend, but when I spotted this basketball style vest in Primark I wanted it! The cute floral print and pastel colours won me over and soon discovered it's easy to wear over a basic vest or crop top, with either jeans, shorts or I even my newest sweat skirt (which I'm still yet to feature). Not normally my style but who says you can't switch it up a bit and dare something new, even if it is as simple as a basketball vest!

What have you dared with your style lately?

What Cat & John Did: New Forest National Park

So me and John visited New Forest National Park down south for a day away and had the loveliest day bike riding, horse spotting and enjoying pub food outdoors. It was just a simple day away together since we had the week off. It was lovely day away and I wish we stayed for longer, but we plan on visiting again some time since it was so lovely!

We drove up on Thursday and booked a hotel for the evening, so once we got there we checked into our hotel and headed straight out for the day. We did a little pre-visit research and decided to go for a good ol' bike ride in the forest's many trails. The guy at the bike hire hut chose a route that suited us best, which had a nice pub stop half way. We got there quite late so we didn't get to do the whole trail but it was long enough as it was! We nearly killed ourselves getting straight on a bike and doing all those miles without having been on a bike for a loooong time before hand! It was still a lot of fun, and we found the pub after getting very lost in the forest without any drinks (idiots), and ate a bowl of chips between us, downed a pint of water and a pepsi each. Not good to forget drinks on the second hottest day of the year ay!?

Once we'd dropped the bikes off back at the bike hire place we walked back to the hotel to sort ourselves out for an evening out, and we discovered the funniest thing, which the forest is very well known for - random roaming horses. Yep, we found it hillarious that horses were just casually standing outside the bank. Later on I tried to make one of my infamous crap jokes when I realised the horses were standing outside Lloyds... The bank with the horse logo! I couldn't make one good enough to share with you...
But me and John had a little pet of the cute horses, and disovered a few more outside some houses opposite the hotel! No wonder everyone has cattle grids on their driveways... The forest has thousands of horses, and the best thing was the amount of foals I'd seen! We visited at the perfect time of year when the foals were at their best!

We stayed in the beautiful Cottage Lodge Hotel in Brockenhurst. It was lovely, our room was called the Morant room, and the whole place had a very homely feeling. The hotel has a bunch of different rooms, all very different to the next and at a great price. Their trip advisor rating is up there on top and the hospitality was beyond what I expected, with the breakfast spot on too! Unfortunately me and John didn't sleep too easy with all the thunder and lightning happening outside. I'm pretty sure the south coast got the worst of the storm, and I think I discovered a slight fear for them too. I haven't heard a storm this bad since I was about 12/13... And even when I think of it. I don't think that one was as bad as this one!

For dinner we headed to a cute hotel/pub called The White Rabbit. It had a lovely outdoor pub garden, and we sat on the patio area and enjoyed some lovely pub grub! I settled for sausage and mash - weird I know but I had a fancy! I'm normally a burger girl, but John enjoyed a good burger. You can just about see it in that last photo. It was lovely and relaxing, and the weather was just spot on for the entire time.

I'm definitely heading back to New Forest National Park, it's perfect for a relaxing time away, and suits people of all ages. From bike riding, horse riding, forest trails, sea fronts and towns filled with the prettiest tea rooms, shops and restaurants. I loved it, and though our visit was short and sweet it was just what we needed. I can't wait to go again!

Have you ever visited the New Forest before?

What Cat Wore: Dolphin Co-ords

Top & Shorts - Bank Fashion
Flats - Primark

Yesterday. Probably one of the hottest days of the year so far. Unbelievably and almost unbearably hot. Me and my mum checked and it was hotter here than sunny Cyprus yesterday. And because I'm off work still for another couple of days, I got to wear this pretty co-ord set from Bank Fashion. I'd been keeping my eye on this for a couple of months and found it in lots of different places, but Bank Fashion had it at the cheapest so I went for it!
Co-ord sets are so much fun, and yes this is my first set but I love that you can split the outfit up to create more looks. I think I love the shorts more than the top, just because I think the top doesn't suit me as much as I'd love it too. It's still not going to stop me from wearing it! The shorts are also really snug, well fitted and feel super comfy. On a hot day like yesterday, this outfit was perfect (also because it stopped me burning my shoulders again)!
I didn't spend the day doing anything special, but me and John had just come back from a day away which I'll be posting about very soon, and spent the evening chatting and eating a chinese in the garden. Simple but nice :) How did you spend the hottest day of the year?

What Cat Wore: Summer Maxi

90s Crop Top - Miss Selfridge
Maxi Skirt - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Primark
Kimono - New Look
Hairband - Topshop

Today I hung out with some of my loveliest girlfriends, went shopping and ate a super yummy wagamamas! I've had a bad experience with wagamamas before and didn't like what I ordered so I hadn't been since, but I ordered the loveliest thing today and I love them now! Don't ask me what it was called though...
It was nice to hang around with just my girls for a change, and do something really girly. And to go with that, a very girly outfit. I decided to bring out my only maxi skirt that I'd just bought the other day and I love it! I was crazy hot today, but I felt fine in this and paired it with my 90s crop top from Miss Selfridge. I adore the print on this crop and sits so nicely with the skirt. Definitely just created a new favourite outfit here.
I will admit I styled this outfit with my new black shoes from Primark, but since I was going shopping swapped out for flats, but for something like just dinner I would totally wear these instead!

As you can see, I've started my YouTube channel FINALLY! I thought I would get started with OOTD videos until I feel more comfortable to talk. I am at that point but I really want to build up some ideas and proper content before I get chatty. I need something fresh and new to excite my own time, and I feel YouTube is the thing since I thought about it for so long... Let me know what you think though won't you!?

Tomorrow me and John are away to spend some time alone, so I won't be around for the next couple of days. We're going to New Forest National Park, and we plan to have the loveliest most relaxing time together. If you've been there let us know if there's anything we should see or do! We're only there for a day and a half so we're not being full on tourists... Just getting away from home for a bit. Hope your week is going well!

What Cat Did: Afternoon Tea @ Harrods

Afternoon Tea. The Traditional British we all love, known for finger sandwiches of all types, scones with a lovely doll of clotted cream and jam and to finish off with a selection of amazing pastries, and always with macaroons.
Today, me and Jess went to London and cashed in a gift of tea for two at Harrods, and enjoyed British culture at its best! I apologise my photos aren't very great, but me and Jess were too busy scoffing down the yummies and drinking unlimited pots of tea!

I honestly love going out for afternoon tea and as much as I love my cakes and pastries, my favourite bit of afternoon tea is scones. How you say it is up to you but you say scones like you say stones.... The proper way! Just sayin'. But my point is... I love them, A LOT!
We had the loveliest selection of sandwiches: coronation chicken, cucumber, roast beef and salmon. Fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and the cakes were just.... Mmmmm! The cakes were strawberry macaroons, lemon tarts, fruit cake, a layered custard pastry and what I thought was like a chocolate mousse slice! So good... All that topped off with breakfast tea!
It was a lovely girly catch up with Jess, though we've seen a lot of each other recently, but it was nice to scoff our faces down just us two, and not give a care in the world as to what people thought! Screw afternoon tea etiquette... Eating finger sandwiches with a fork!? Hell no. Though a lady next to us was... haha!
Apart from enjoying a lovely spot of afternoon tea, we wandered the massive department stores women's section and awed at the beautiful clothes we'd never afford and was very wowed at the bathrooms. They even have a cute vanity table in the middle with complimentary perfumes! I want Estée Lauder's Modern Muse now....!
John and I will be going away for a couple of days this week, so I may be AFK for a little bit! Hold on, as there will be more posts, and some I have to catch up on creating. Hope you're all having a lovely week.

Wishist #65 - Shop Jeen Edit

Pikachu Crop | Follow Pillow | Classy Bitch Pillow | Hollographic Clutch | Internet Tee
Ariel Tee | Emoji Hearts Top & Skirt | Jigglypuff Tee | Mermaid Pillow | Cat Pillow
Pokemon Shorts | Punk Peach Tee | Raise By Mermaids Tee | Iggy iPhone Case

Miss Trisha Paytas - YouTube's pretty, curvy blond bombshell from the USA is a super-chatty crazy gal who doesn't give a sh*t what people think about her, and is probably a Youtuber I didn't think I'd ever watch but I really enjoy her bubbly hyper personality and crazy haul videos! She inspired me to even look at the alternative website Shop Jeen resulting in a over the top wishlist of crazy fashion things I just need in my life. It's not to everyone's taste but I really would like to jazz up my room with some crazy pillows or buy a few fashion pieces that aren't everyday and feel more original. From crazy pokemon print shorts, to swear words on pillows, emojis on clothes and alternative cartoon girls... I think I want it all. I'll stop the line at having Ryan Gosling's face all over a pair of leggings, or THIS, but I did for a split second question the idea of Eminem's face all over a skirt just for the Wembley gig. The things these guys make are just crazay!
Have you had a look at Shop Jeen? What's the craziest item you'd purchase!?

What Cat Wore: EMINEM

Beenie - eBay
Crop Jumper - Miss Selfridge
Mom Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Dorothy Perkins

No time to talk! I'll be on my way to Eminem tonight after I post this and I'm SUPAH EXCITTTEEDDD. I can't wait, a few set lists have been leaked but I don't know which ones the real one!
I'm wearing this easy number tonight, for a little style, comfort, no-need-for-a-jacket and warmth outfit. I'm standing and I don't know where I'll be or how I'll be but I need to have no bag and no worries of losing things, and I need to be warm but not like "OMG It's too hot". This jumper is so amazing, I got it in a 10 to have it a little looser, and I'm just wearing a simple black bandeau underneath. I finally bought myself some Mom jeans because I didn't have any and I think I love them ♥ You'll be seeing a lot more of these on here.
And as for my hat - Yeah.... I'm not gonna calm down! I'm seeing Eminem tonight!

Wishlist #64

Sweatshirt | Sweatshirt #2 | Watch | Tee
Backpack | Co-Ord Set: Skirt & Top | Jumper | Hoodie

I'm all for comfort combined with style, which is why I'm loving all these 'throw on' items such as the sweatshirts and thin knit jumpers. I've always adored Wildfox Couture's beautiful pieces but the price tag sends me looking for dupes.
I've also been looking for a cute backpack since I'm slowly accepting their cool status, especially after seeing this Grafea one... I love it! But again price tag has sent me looking for dupes too. Damn the hefty price tags on beautiful things!
I'm also often browsed Depop for bargains, but then find myself  on Mod Dolly's page admiring their co-ord sets. I'm really liking this macaroon print one from their new collection and although I may be one of the first blogger's to say that I don't like Macaroons, I think they're so pretty and LOOK so yummy. Unfortunately and I say this with sadness, they don't taste so good to me! I wish I liked them because they're so cute looking, so adoring them in print form makes sense to me.

My wishlists are getting super random again but I've got my next 'edit' one sorted for sometime near the weekend... There's just A LOT I like out there at the moment. My fave season yet! I'm turning into shopaholic Cat again. I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff if I'm going to buy anymore.
