What Cat Wore: Outfit Repeater

Dress * - Glamorous
Shoes - Primark
Headband - Primark
Necklace * - M&S (just seen)

YES. I am an outfit repeater - but who isn't!? And who says you can't blog the same dress twice? Clothes were made for wearing, and styling over and over again, and I like challenging myself to wear things differently - It's what styling is about! I do it often with other pieces, but a dress is a little bit harder to style differently. I ditched the cardigan this time, went for different shoes and a floral headband to girly up my attire. This is one of my favourite dresses in my wardrobe right now, and has been since it made it's way into my wardrobe early spring... I think the colours suit the winter a little better though, so I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing this a lot more often this coming season.
Outfit repeating isn't a fashion offence - it's embracing the love for certain pieces.... Even Kate Middleton is guilty of it, but so what!? If royalty can do it, so can we!

On a tangent now... I need help! I'm really on the fence about dying my hair back to a rich dark brown colour. Shall I go dark for the winter or embrace red longer!? If I do go dark, I'm contemplating a lilac dip dye along with it...!

Wishist #68

Cape | Fedora | Top | Boots | Jacket
Trainers | Cardigan | Midi Skirt | Bag | Necklace

The colours are getting autumnal now and I'm really inspired by them this year. Normally I'm not and sulking over the bright colours going away but this year is different. I'm really drawn towards pastel pink again, and the burgundies. And a hint of white to brighten up a a lovely, dark, autumnal outfit... and those light grey boots... Ah, they're just amazing! I'm really lusting over those grey boots the most... And after that I think I want the cardigan, trainer heels and I'm torn between the jacket and the cape for my number 4 spot. I need to invest in some staple pieces like those boots, jackets and breton stipes pronto and get rid of the things I never wear or aren't very versatile. It's so hard to clear out a wardrobe...  You never know when any of that stuff is coming back! #fashionbloggerproblems

Fashion Union: Summer Style Secrets!

Recently, Fashion Union contacted me and these two other lovely bloggers Gloria, and Rebecca to share our summer style secrets for a little Fashion Union project. We've still got a few days on summer left, and here in the UK we're always likely to have a randomly hot September before it hits below zero weather for Autumn/Winter. So we shared our summer style secrets for you guys, and whether they be for this summer, or next summer, I hope they help!

I'll definitely be trying out Gloria's style secret - tucking your kimono into a skirt? I would have never thought of that! And I've always been so heavily packed up with extra outfits when I go to the beach- I've definitely learnt how to dress properly for an all day adventure at the beach now!
Also don't forget to follow these girls, they have a couple of lovely blogs worth a follow! I have already ♥

What Cat Wore: Leopard Shirts & New Boots

Shirt - Miss Selfridge
Leggings - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Miss Selfridge
Necklace - Topshop
Hair Bow - Lavender Latté

This is one of my favourite shirts. It's three sizes too big, and when I bought it about 2 years ago I just had to because I loved it so much and it was the last one! I bought it too big because it just looked great oversized, with the back cowl cut out for a smart/casual look with a simple pair of leggings and some nice boots! The clashing prints are just gorgeous, and though many shirts have been purchased since this one, it still remains my favourite! ♥
As for my new boots... Ah! Aren't they gorgeous!? I've wanted a pair of cut out boots since they came into the fashion biz last year, but I didn't find a pair I quite liked. When I saw these come out from Miss Selfridge, I knew I wanted them and invested in them as my new winter boots for this season. The cut out isn't too big, and the buckles look great over it. I will admit they hurt like hell for a week wearing them in, but now they've been worn in they're as comfortable as can be! I love them :3

I hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday weekend! I've not got much planned... I have work tomorrow and today I've just been chilling out and running errands... Oh and burning my whole hand with my curling wand! Ouch! Are you doing anything fun for the last bank holiday of the year?

The Travel Bucket List

John and I are adventurers at heart. For the three and a half years we've been together, we've had some amazing times away, and a few of them at that! Together we've been to so many places; John showing me the wonders of travelling in Britain and me showing John the beauty of discovering a new country!

We've always found places in Britain we'd never knew were there, such as the New Forest National Park. The idea to go there came around when John was on Google Maps searching for something else un-holiday related! We've been on those typical British holidays too and stayed in amazing remote lodges with no network or distractions. Pure bliss!
As for abroad, Zankynthos was our best holiday ever. We stayed in a lovely town with the most relaxing atmosphere and plenty to do. Beyond that, we found secluded beaches, quad-biked up mountains and discovered places we would never have thought we would find. That's the beauty of travel - exploration, and discovering something, or a place you never thought you would, or seeing something you've only seen in pictures...

There's so much of the world to see, and probably not enough time to see it all. I wish I could travel the world and just visit all the places I could imagine and see the 7 wonders of the world and more. But for now, I've got a bucket list of places that I want to see and I thought it would be nice to share it with you. It includes the places I've been too before - just so I can say I've ticked them off my bucket list!

Cat & John's Travel Bucket List:

There's no time to waste really, and if I did just half of these before I kick the bucket, or even close to it then I think I'd be happy and know I'd seen at least half the world I wanted to see, and especially with my adventurer boyfriend by my side ♥

I'm sure I'll update this time and time again, it's one of those posts you get to go back to isn't it? I love these ♥ John and I haven't really been anywhere yet this year, so we're after something easy, fun and relaxing. We're thinking it's Spain next to cross off! Where do you want to go next?

What Cat Wore: Watermelon Leopard Print

Top - Dorothy Perkins
Skirt - Topshop
Boots - Sperry

The shiniest £2.25 I have ever spent! Okay £3 without my staff discount - but omg. I love this skirt! So, yesterday I finally wore out my this beaut from Topshop. When I bought it, it was a pure bargain that just could not be resisted. When you see something pretty for £3 in your size, you kind of don't care what it is... You want it! And that was this skirt. I love it anyway, I just didn't know what to wear with it. I still don't think I wore it right, but I think I just haven't got the right black top to wear it with yet, but I had to wear it already! I've had it for a couple of months now!
I didn't have a very productive Sunday. I went to my grandparent's for dinner again, and enjoyed the yummiest Greek food and figs home grown by my granddad. I also ended up driving to the airport to pick my uncle up, and waiting until silly o'clock in the morning for my parents to come home from their holidays. I really missed my little siblings, and the house was beginning to be too quiet, so I'm glad to have them back!

Also the hair - it was supposed to be magenta pink. Not quite eh? But at least it's bright red! :D

How was did you spend your Sunday?

Wishlist #67 - Miss S Edit

Tunic | Shirt | Cape | Skirt | Chokers | Jumpsuit
Coat | Dress | Leggings | Cami | Gilet | Top | Culottes | Bag
I'm adoring the new product in Miss Selfridge at the moment, especially all the autumnal colours, and winter pieces coming out. I used to dislike winter clothes with a passion, but last winter I accepted the love you get for a cosy jumper, a good coat and layering pieces together for a warm and stylish wintery look. I'll embrace it well this year I'm sure. I'm in love with the paisley prints, silky fabrics, blues and burgundies Miss S have brought out and I can't wait to nab myself a few of these.
I'm really keeping my eye on the silky tunic, faux fur gilet, paisley pieces and that cute monochrome two piece the most. I can imagine layering the gilet over the tunic, wearing the scuba leggings over that cute floral cami and then throwing the cosy looking burgundy cape on top... So many outfit choices! They've also got a load of lovely monochrome pieces too that I'm loving, with bardot necklines, breton stripes and fitted, flattering shapes. J'adore tous ♥

Tiny Tea 28 Day TEAtox - Week 2

So I'm back with my week 2 update, and I have to say, it's been a crazy hectic week! I've been touch and go with the teatox this week, so if you're keeping up to date with how I've been doing and interested in it for yourself, read on...

What Cat Wore: Paisley Rips

90s Halter Cami - Miss Selfridge
Boyfriend Ripped Jeans - Miss Selfridge
Kimono - New Look
Converse - Very.co.uk (sold out)

Don't mind my Dolly dog photo-bombing my ripped jeans close up right there, the little cheeky pup! I thought I'd share another work outfit that I've loved this week! It's so strange wearing normal clothes to work again, but I love it. The only thing is, I know I'll have days where I'm going to be like "what do I wear!?!?". It's a daily dilemma I can live with in exchange for fashion freedom!

So I wore this paisley print top from Miss Selfridge the other day, which I absolutely adore to pieces. The 90s neckline just sits lovely and the print is a favourite of mine. I don't have that many pieces I can wear with this top just yet, so pairing it with some funky jeans was logical, and I really wanted to show off the whole thing. I ended up wearing it with my much loved, ripped boyfriend jeans, and favourite converse trainers for a simple and casual look depicting the 'With The Band' trend in my own way. My favourite Miss S trend right now :)

I'd also like to say hello to all my new followers, as there are quite a few over the last 2 weeks! I'm so happy that you've decided to follow and I'd like to thank you all for doing so. I hope you like my posts and if there's anything you'd like me to write about, requests or questions please leave me a comment or email me! Again, thank you for following and if you don't yet you can on Bloglovin (link below)!

What Cat Wore: My First Day & My Leaving Meal

Jumpsuit - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - Miss Selfridge
Kimono - New Look

This would have been an all-out Miss Selfridge look if I had a plain kimono to go with it, but unfortunately I don't! This is what I wore yesterday to my first day at my new job and my leaving meal for my old job! I did wear more practical shoes to work, but I swapped them out for my favourite summer heels for the evening.

I absolutely adore this jumpsuit, and it is so comfortable on. I adore everything about it: the print, the colour, the fit, the feel of it! I'm not normally a gal for wearing blue, but I am loving this all over blue floral and I even have a new blue jumper you'll see soon to combine with it in the colder winter days ♥

I had a great first day at work, and feel so happy there already. It's probably my best career move yet, and I'm determined to go all the way from here. And as for my leaving meal, it was so lovely to see every seat filled with all the people I love from my old job. We had a good giggle about things that had happened over the years and ate a lot of yummy Pizza Express pizza and dough balls. I received the loveliest bunches of flowers, chocolates, champagne and lots of cards from them all and I'm just so happy I got to know them and work with them over the last 3 years! Onwards and upwards now!

What Cat Wore: #OOTD

Shorts - Miss Selfridge
Kimono - New Look
Socks - Dorothy Perkins
MEGA Sandals - Topshop

Yesterday I got to spend time with my lovely friends at one of their birthday BBQs, and I was desperate to wear my new tee that I'd bought a while ago in the In The Style sale online. I saw this tee on Jess's blog Copper Gardens and I just love the way she styled it so simply! She made it look so good with the white jeans and just needed the tee for myself. The common blogger related hashtag won me over! *insert monkey covering eyes emoji* I was so happy to see that they had it in white as well as black, since I'm more of a white graphic tee girl anyways, so I bought it! It's sooooo soft too - probably the most comfy tee ever!
I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out if I wanted it left out or tucked in, but left out it was almost as long as my shorts so I stuck to tucking it into my current favourite shorts, and then throwing over my kimono that I hadn't worn in way too long! I love going back to pieces I love, but haven't worn in a while - I feel challenged to make it work a different way. I also wore my much loved sandals from Topshop... They're starting to wear away from wearing them so much. And always with socks! Lilac ones this time :)

I haven't blogged an outfit in a while, but you can expect outfit posts a lot more often now. I start my new job Monday, and I don't have to wear just black uniform any more! I'm still working for Miss Selfridge, but I'll be working for them directly so I get to wear their clothes instead! Yay! I'm quite excited to start actually... Am I weird for that? New job, new fresh start and all that ♥

Tiny Tea 28 Day TEAtox - Week 1

If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram you may have seen that I started a 28 Day Teatox with Your Tea! For anyone who doesn't know what a teatox is - it's a type of detox that involves drinking a herbal tea, along with a healthy diet and regular exercise. A lot of people that I told about this thought that it was a tea only detox - but it's not! And I thought it would be helpful to record my experience and share it with you for anyone who is interested in it as well as for my own record. I know it isn't my usual thing on the blog, but it's a big change in my life and I've had a few requests to write about this on Instagram!
Pre-warning: Heavy worded blog posts coming up...!

Wishlist #66

Midi Skirt | Boots | Garfield Dress | Fur Face Jacket
Kitty Shirt | Check Jumper | Pink Trousers | White Boots

I can't help a good old online window shop of the things I can't (or won't let myself) afford. I just want all the things on this wishlist in my wardrobe right now. And more than the rest, the crazy Lazy Oaf fur jacket - OMG. I would look like the most mental person walking around in that, but then again - it would suit my personality perfectly, so why not!? I'd actually get it if it wasn't for the huge price tag *insert sad face*. Y U SO EXPENSIVE LAZY OAF!?
Of course, Garfield the cat on a dress is going to be on this wishlist - anything with an animal face or cartoon on it. That's why there's the kitty shirt too. I wouldn't be complete without a wardrobe filled with zoo animal prints...
I'm really into smart wear at the moment and really making my outfits look like I'm making an effort everyday. I'd love to get my hands on this beautiful red midi skirt - It's the shape I'm in love with and the colour is just gorgeous. It's a twirl-worthy skirt, which makes me drawn to it a little more!
White boots have been on my wishlist for well over a year - and I should actually invested in some by now. These would be cute, and with little frilly socks especially. I'm often told how mad I look with the socks and shoes combos that I do, but I just love the look, and think it's so cute and quirky! Is it old yet? Or can I carry on getting away with it?

What's on your wishlist right now?

My Summer Playlist

OK. So my summer playlist will slightly look like this weeks Top 10 with a few favourites thrown in, but I thought I would do this post anyway since I love my music and am very much enjoying it at the moment.

I kinda 'forgot' to get myself prepared for photographing my next few planned in blog posts, and the daylight was gone to take any decent photos so I didn't quite know what to do, but knew I wanted to blog! I spent most of my afternoon shopping with my aunt and metephorically dying from my super-hard work out, which kept me pretty busy. I'm doing a 28 day teatox which I will be posting about weekly... first post to come Thursday! Anyways- lucky for me, I have a notebook full of blog post ideas, noticed I hadn't done this one yet and...Voila! As you can see, I made a little YouTube playlist with these songs plus a few more I forgot about that I'm really enjoying this summer. From chart hits and new tunes, chilled out songs and country music... I honestly don't have a favourite genre - I just like music! Enjoy!

My July

Though July has behold a step up in my career, and a motivation to do something with my life it will be my least favourite month of the year, as well as one that has held pretty much all of the most life changing things. Good ones like Eminem at Wembley with friends, getting a new job, and realising how many friends I actually have.
My newest employment has led the month out with a smile on my face, and I can't believe it still if I'm honest. I feel so elated with happiness about it! I can't wait to start my new job, and I'm glad that I'm still moving on within Miss Selfridge, since I know it so well and love it so much.
On top of that, my motivation for blogging, keeping myself fit, and general productivity has sky rocketed. I've bought the Tiny 'TeaTox' to do in the next month, I've been bike riding with John (see post here), and I've started to eat well... Ignore the Starbucks Chocolate Frappacino there. My creativity is back, and I've started drawing again, and now all I need to do is get back onto reading some of the books I've bought for the summer!
This month has also bought friends together, so I've seen a lot of my friends recently. Cinema trips, as well as shopping trips and get togethers have been a nice addition to my usual routine. I don't see my friends often enough, so I've vowed to myself to make more of an effort to see them and enjoy their company. ♥
I definitely think July has given me a step in the right direction, and put my best foot forward - into the motivational and productive road. It feels good actually :)

How has your July been for you?
