Life Diary | January

Hell-oo-o--ohhh, Goodbye January, Where did you go!?
This has definitely been a month for improvements and big time changes. I've made some changes to myself which I don't know has come with 2015 goals or becoming 25 but I finally said good riddance to my hoarding bad habit when I de-cluttered and threw away so so many bags of old things that I kept for no reason: clothes, shoes, books and art things I never use. I literally have probably a third of the things I had before. Why keep those shoes you never ever ever wear, and why keep endless books that you'll never ever read huh, and use that new space you're getting wisely!
Talking of new spaces: this month bought a big change at home for a while too as I move in with my grandparents for a few months whilst they rip my house apart and make it pretty again. I'm so excited for the big change and it is a little weird being in a different house in a different street but it's nice too. With this big change at home rooms are getting bigger, the layout will be different and as I've said in countless posts before - I'll be getting a space of my own as we will be building an extra bedroom.
Nothing else really exciting happened, but it had been a good month and a great start to the year. Though no more has happened in January I have plans for March and the summer time. In March John and I will be doing our much loved trip to a lodge with a private hot tub but we'll be visiting a different area which we're very much looking forward to, and then in the summer as well as a holiday abroad, a group hike up Snowdonia in Wales is in the planning process to raise money for The British Heart Foundation. All exciting things. This year is looking pretty good so far!

I hope your January has been treated you well, and February is even better.
I haven't got any February plans. Boo. Have you?

Wishlisting | Missguided

Camel Stripe Skirt | Panelled Crop Jumper | Pink Coulottes | Off Shoulder Jumper
Knitted Midi Dress | Pink Cigarette Trousers | Roll Neck Jumper | Cigarette Trousers 2
Grid Print Skirt | Floral Playsuit | Grey Crop Top | Sleeveless Camel Coat

Oh my... Isn't Missguided looking beautiful? After a little browse online checking out the new trends I discovered how much I'm loving on the Missguided website. It kills me slightly to know I'm doing a whole wishlist dedicated to their new season when I actually have never purchased from the website. I know... You don't need to tell me. But I don't think it'll be long until I pop my Missguided cherry after seeing all these beauts that I'm lusting on their website... It's just I wish I had lots of money to have all of this. So what do I pick!?
They're all of course so versatile and I'd love these all in my wardrobe! I'm really falling for the pink coulottes, off the shoulder jumper and the sleeveless camel coat. All of these because they're like nothing in my wardrobe, and so versatile... Oh the possibilities! If I had to pick five only, it'd be the items linked in bold... I'd be happy with just those. I'm too excited for all the new season beautiful fashions and after a maa-hoo-sive clear out, I have a half decent excuse to inject some goodness into my new to-be wardrobe. Wouldn't you say?

My Little Energy Box

When it hits the second week of the month I get so excited about the possibility of my subscription to My Little Box coming through the post any day from the 12th onwards. This month it's the My Little Energy Box which of course is perfect for the first month of the year! It's inspired me to get up and going to becoming healthier which in turn results to being happier! It's already one of my goals this year for both health reasons and for my own confidence and happiness, so this box is perfect for a fresh start. On to the contents!

As always, a motivational A5 poster and a magazine! I just adore the photo album section in the My Little World magazine, it's great to have a section dedicated to inspirational images relating to the box and just because! I also love the recipes which I'm planning on cutting out soon and keeping in a special little box so that when the house is done I can make healthy and yummy recipes in our new kitchen.

This month, Little Box brings a 2015 Calendar to use throughout the year. I'm really happy I have this one because I didn't get a calendar this year and it would be super useful to have one, and now I do. It's a perfect size as well to keep on your wall by your desk without taking too much room. I like that about this calendar. It's small, useful and simple! Along with the calendar, a gym bag for carrying your work out wear to and from wherever you may be going to work out. Whether it be the gym, the pool or whatever really - it's a lovely bag!

This month's three beauty products are really lovely! Keeping to the energy theme the box comes with the My Little Beauty Energy Mist to give yourself a refreshing spritz when needed! I already have this in my bag to use when I need a little spritz to wake me up. Along with the Energy Mist, you'll find Nails Inc in 'Tate' which is a beautiful rich yet darkish red. I loved it so much I put it on that day and it lasts really well! I was missing a decent red in my life and now I have one.
Lastly we have the Talika Photo-Hyrda Day Cream which claims to use energy from natural light to deeply moisturise and hydrate your skin! Pretty cool if you ask me. I love the idea of this, and I think this would be a perfect product for the sunnier days in the coming spring when there's more natural lighting around. I have used this a couple of times and I like the way it feels on my skin and you can feel it instantly working into the skin. No stickiness or the feeling of excess product, it's actually quite refreshing instead!

I love this month's box! It's a real 'get up and go' box and I love how it all ties in with energy somehow. Whether it be in the form of words, a special formula or a bright colour! I'm definitely motivated to get my tummy tucked in for the summer, my body toned up for my own confidence and happiness and then my fitness levels up so I'll happily and easily hike Snowdon in Wales with my friends for charity in the summer! *insert muscle arm emoji* Let's go!

Bedroom Pinspirations

Before I start, I give a pre-warning. With all my excitement of building starting at home this week, I've been obsessing over all things home, especially designing and planning my bedroom to be. So I will be posting a lot of bedroom related wishlist, hauls and updates... beginning with the Pinterest Inspirations giving me ideas of how my new dream personal space will look like. I've been all over Pinterest searching for storage ideas, bedrooms with day beds, colour schemes, and shelving ideas. Here are only a selected few of the pins from that board - you can find the rest [here]. Enjoy!

 floral bed
The colour scheme... It's got to be something simple yet beautiful. White of course, injected black and I'd like some pink and pastels in there too.

Timberland Earthkeepers | Glancy 6" Boots

Yes, yes, yes Timberland Boots with a heel! You're seeing it right, and aren't they just beautiful?
It was always on my wishlist to get a pair of Timberland Boots, but on my wishlist it was always a flat pair of the originals. I'd seen these heeled ones a couple of times before, and then I saw the Jeffrey Campbell HBICs and loved them, and thought that that is what I wanted. Little did I know that I would be getting these for Christmas just gone from John, and that I would fall in love with these, forget about the flat Timbs and the JCs.
They're just my style, and will be sitting well with the trends I'm getting really into right now. Can you imagine these with an awesome pair of khaki utility trousers and a cool crop top!? That'd be sexy...
These beauts are the classics with a twist and I just can't get over them, hence showing them on right here on my blog! They're just perfect; the originals with a sprinkling of glam and femininity making that toe smaller and adding the heel. They're versatile being a casual heel meaning they suit a ton of outfits and to make them even better, they're pretty much the most comfortable heel ever! I tested it out for a whole day from 7 am until about 8pm: 13 hours (first wear too!) and there was no discomfort at all by the end of a long day - and it was on Boxing Day at work. Winner!

The thing is, is that I just love them, simple as that. ♥ I've got some serious shoe love right here.

What Cat Wore | Pink Tweed & Bardot Necklines

Top - Miss Selfridge
Skirt - Warehouse
Ankle Boots - New Look
Moustache Necklace - Dirty Dolly Jewellery

I did what I could with 10 minutes and the indoors but I just had to blog this outfit I was really happy with today, and it's a shame it doesn't look as good on camera as it does IRL. With all the builders bringing in their equipment to start work next week I have no photo taking spot anymore but with everything coming out of the house, blank walls are appearing and I made the most of the space today whilst it's there! Enough about the excitement of extensions to my house versus blogging problems and on to the outfit...
As always, for work a Miss Selfridge item must be part of the outfit, and I adore this striped bardot crop top. It's not really as cropped as you'd imagine so it works well with a high waisted skirt such as this beauty I picked up in the Warehouse sale. I love the tweed texture, the zip detailing and the a-line shape which suits me quite well. I love the subtle but complimenting clash of print and texture in this outfit which is what I think makes it work. I'm trying to challenge myself to make more outfits from what I already have instead of shopping for new outfits, versatility is the thing I'm looking for in my 2015 wardrobe so I need to start with what I have!
I added some fun with my Mexican moustache necklace too, what do you think!? It's a good one isn't it!?

Wishlisting | Dream Bedroom Things

Pink Velvet Cushion / Mint Fur Cushion / Black Shaggy Rug / KALLAX Shelving Unit
Bobcat Cushion / Satin Rose Cushion / HEMNES Day Bed
Mint Side Table / Metal Basket Bin / Wooden Tray / Mint Cat Shelf

My dream bedroom wishlist hasn't changed much but dialling down on the crazy cushion covers I'd like in my new room. I decided a few months ago that my room would be pretty, simplistic, monochrome and pastel. I want a room in which anything fits, whether it be a ridiculous colour or print. And I'm not going to lie, totally Instagram worthy. Though half of this is literally unaffordable for me, I'd like to think that one day I could have it. I.E. That beautiful mint side table; I'm not paying £60 for a table even if it is probably one of the most useful pieces in this wishlist. I just can't justify it right now. But that £25 mint cat shelf tho.
All the things listed here are essentials to a bedroom. Along with this, a desk, throw and a few pieces of thought out decor and DIY pieces are in play. I've already bought floral fairy lights and jewellery storage, and I want to make a photo-frame idea as well as maybe buying a few things from charity shops for a little shabby/vintage chic.
Things that are definitely making it's way into my new bedroom will be the day bed, shelving unit, a new sexy white desk/dressing table and probably all the cushions when they hit sale. I need a metal basket bin for all rubbish ideas, and a tray for those in bed blogging days. I also haven't stopped going on about a black shaggy rug or a black faux fur throw for about two months now... The only two dark pieces I'd love and WILL have in my new room. They'd go perfectly with the feature wall design I'm planning on doing! ♥ I can't wait for work to start at home so I can make this dream bedroom come true.....

What Cat Wore | Navy Pastels

Jumper - Primark
Skirt - River Island
Faux Fur Gilet - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Timberland

This could potentially be the last time you'll be seeing me pose away in this spot, because in a couple of weeks it won't exist. Sometime this or next week I'll be having to move out and into my nan's house because the family is getting our house extended! Anything and everything will be getting done to our little house and for me personally the dreams of finally having my own bedroom is in sight for the very near future. I've shared a room for my whole life minus a couple of years between moving towns and my diddy sister being born, so this is all more than just exciting to me. And yes, I am saving to move out but I've never had some space to call my own, so I'll be enjoying that for a while as I save making it no rush to leave ASAP and share a room with a boy (think Monica in The One Where Chandler Moves In)! Expect an increase of homeware hauls and wishlists  coming soon! The main reason for saying this is because it's going to be increasingly difficult for me to actually take my outfit photos because I don't know where I'll do them... But I'm sure I'll find a spot and it'll be much prettier than this!

Onto the outfit... This skirt is just my favourite thing in my wardrobe right now. The crocodile print, the PU, the shape and the navy colour is just the greatest combination. Something I usually wouldn't pick up, but when I saw it online I had to have it, especially with a £5 birthday voucher - Thanks RI! I didn't expect to absolutely love it as much as I do, but yet it is here and making appearances in outfits every week - I still don't know why I haven't blogged them either. (Yes I do: #winterlightingproblems.) I wore it today with this lovely simple and super versatile jumper that I got for just £6 in Primark. So good I got it in Khaki too! The khaki one is amazing, but I loved this lilac one so much I had to get it too. And though I believe it's not my colour and it doesn't really suit me, it's one of my favourite colours and I'm still trying to make it work. Does it?
Just for a little texture to the outfit, I popped on my faux fur gilet and a simple pastel chain necklace for some neck detail, and lastly laced on my beautiful Timberland boots that literally go with everything. I've worn these boots every weekend without fail and I can't begin to tell you how amazing and comfy they are. Actually I can. But I'm going to save that for a  feature post all about them!

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, it sucks that it's Monday tomorrow but I've still got the uber positive perspective for 2015 to give a damn about Mondays!
