My July

July has been really good to me this year and I'm so excited to see how it carries on in August. Not only did I get to move back home after a long and extreme extension to our house, but I got a new job and I committed myself to a healthier lifestyle. July bought sunshine, luck and some very happy days!
Half way through July I found myself having a million and one things going on. I had two interviews for new jobs and I was close to moving back home, especially after being extremely home sick. I moved back in and though the carpets aren't done and there are still quite a few little things to do, I'm glad to be home. I'm sleeping on an air bed at the moment, but I'm in my new room and I have my space and I get to see my family everyday again.

As for my new job - I've taken a big step out of my retail career to take my first baby steps into the one I always wanted. I'm going to be a TA at a primary school and I couldn't be more excited to start. I've known for a long time I wanted to be a teacher but recently decided to give it my all and apply properly for my first TA job. I'm so excited for this new career path and though it's going to be long and hard, I'm going to be happy and that's all that matters! I've had so much fun in retail, but I think my time there is done... I will miss my cheeky discounts though!!!

And though I only started a week ago, July has also bought me some weird fitness bug. I've gone for 4 runs this week and I've been eating a whole lot healthier, yet I can't quite contain my sweet tooth cravings just yet. I suddenly got the urge to be a healthier and happier person and I already feel so much better for doing it. I know it's going to be hard to get to where I want because I have goals like a flat tummy and increased stamina. I want to be able to run 10k or a half marathon next year for charity and I think starting now will put me in a great place to be able to!

July bought me some weird motivation pick me up, and I'm so happy I've got it! It's turned a little of my life around in a matter of weeks and all I need to do is just keep it up! Things are looking good for August and I can't wait to see what happens this month. I am looking forward to a London day out next week and an elongated weekend, as well as my last day at Miss Selfridge, which will be weird and emotional I'm sure!
What are you looking forward to this August?
