I can't believe it's already May, can you!? Another month gone and another five favourites. I haven't got as many fashion favourites as usual this month, but nonetheless I have five things I've been particularly enjoying this month! Let's talk shoes, lipstick, technology and stationery:
You may have seen these beautiful shoes on my Instagram or in my roundup of the month of March. I bought these with my auntie a back at the end of March from Quiz Clothing and I've been loving these amazing shoes ever since! I haven't worn them lots, but when I have, I've been flaunting them like crazy! The rainbow colours and what looks like crumpled PU fabric (or balloon) print is so pretty and quirky - just how I like it!!! It's been a while since I've been able to wear a pair of heels like this comfortably too, and thanks to the chunky heel and the thick straps, they are comfortable and I can wear them without worrying about falling over too. That said, it took a little breaking into... Ouch to that.
Next on my favourites is my new personalised phone case my GoCustomized*. I've been loving not having to worry about dropping my phone in this case; Just today I dropped it from height onto tiled flooring and I wasn't worried. Not a scratch on the phone or the case! It's a tough case which means it has a rubber casing that absorbs the shock and then a hard plastic casing that covers the sides and back with a personalised image. I wrote all about this case in a blog post here if you want to find out more about it, but honestly - it's so good and I would definitely recommend buying one if you're drop-prone like me!
I'm also really loving the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in the colour 'Love' which makes for a beautiful and elegant bright red lip. I'm a big fan of matte lipsticks too so it's automatically a favourite for me. I've been loving creating a natural make up look with a bright red lip for impact. The formula is great applying a lovely consistent layer of colour and beautifully pigmented. It also lasts really well through drinking and eating which for some reason I really struggle with, but a lot, lot less when wearing this colour. I might have to get a couple more colours now!
Also in my favourites is this cute Doggy Keyboard Pad by Busy B*. Since it came through the post just a week ago, it's been really useful and I've been able to keep track of my things to do, noting down things to remember and ideas for blog posts I knew I would lose in thought otherwise. It's such a useful pad that sits well just under my laptop as well as looking utterly adorable. The best thing about this is, when I'm done with the sheet I can just rip it off and start again on a fresh one underneath. I also wrote all about this and a few other stationery beauties from Busy B here4.
Last but not least, I've been getting back in touch with my inner geek and playing my Nintendo DS! I bought my new DS from eBay just before my holiday and started playing Pokémon Black. I can't help it, I'm 26 years old and I love games and Pokemon and all things geeky and kawaii cute. But I don't care - I love being the 1st gen Pokémon Masters and I love that I still love and play the games 20 years later! I haven't played it for a week but I'm planning a good gaming session this bank holiday weekend :P
