It may seem that my obsession with the colour navy will be reaching the point of ridiculousness, but I don't care! It's such a gorgeous colour that I began to love in Santorini in April and hasn't yet ended. Today I'm sharing my latest navy addition - to my jewellery collection this time, as well as my newest silver bangle. These beauts are from a shop called Happiness Boutique who offer some amazing things, including free worldwide delivery!
So this necklace here is the Joy Statement Necklace in Blue. It also comes in white and a lighter blue and always gold hardware. It's an absolutely beautiful chunky statement necklace and really versatile thanks to it being able to double as a regular necklace and a choker!
On first impression, I fell for this necklace. I love the colour, I love the gems and the size too. I did have one gem missing, but it was right at the back so I wasn't too bothered about it at all. It wears easily with a lot of things, and the gems follow through the whole way around the necklace, so if you're wearing your hair up, or you have short hair you don't need to worry about what it looks like at the back because it looks just as pretty at the back as it does on the front. Does that make sense?
I wanted to talk a little bit about the lobster clasp too, which I completely forgot to photograph. But it's a little chunky, and as much as I don't want to admit it, it's something that bothers me a little. Being chunky clasp, it's hard to tell if you've actually clipped something because you can't loop the necklace through. It's a bit of a hit-and-miss game with it, meaning it takes a few minutes to put it on if you're finding blind hand-eye coordination difficult. It also means wearing this as a choker becomes a little harder when you're putting it on. First you have to find a spare loop and then play that hit-and-miss game until it's finally on.
This is my only problem with this product, but I understand that because of the weight of the necklace and the fact you can wear it as a choker, it needs to be strong and potentially chunky. When it's on, it's not a problem, and it wears well, but putting it on is a little bit of a chore which I wish it wasn't.
Here is how it looks as a traditional necklace too. It works just as well to create that gorgeous statement look, but it depends what look you're going for! Personally, I love it more as a choker and it's often how I wear it. I'd probably wear it more like this with a plainer top or a shirt!
Finally it's time to show you this gorgeous Love Heart and Circle Bangle that I adore for it's quality and easy wear. It looks amazing with my Sailbrace bracelet (you might have seen them together on Instagram) and it looks great with my Casio watch too! It's super versatile and sits well as a more statement piece with other bracelets or on its own like I'm wearing it here.
I found this bangle really difficult to photograph for some reason. The reflections or something were playing with my camera's focus so I just stuck with the photos that came out best to show the details in the bangle. Either way this is a gorgeous bangle and it's been a staple piece in accessories since I received it in the post.
