My March

This month has been jam packed with all sorts! Normally at the end of the month I haven't got much to talk about, but here I am today and I've had the best month of 2016 so far! It's been filled with family, success, fashion and fun. What more could I have asked for?

Starting right at the beginning of March, I began the month with a fresh new cut. I visited the Brooks and Brooks salon in Holborn and had a great experience getting some layers put in and chopping off those unwanted split ends. I actually blogged about it here. Apart from my trip into London for that the beginning of the month was a little slow (unless you count a day trip to Peterborough?) that was until the weekend I went to France.
I spent a Friday to Sunday night with my aunt and uncle in St. Clair just outside of Paris. We shopped and I was happily surprised at 6am to find my cousins were also there from Portugal! They were surprised too as they didn't know I was coming. It was an eventful trip there actually driving through what I'd class as a snow storm from about half an hour out of the euro tunnel until we reached St. Clair. We made it, but it took us 2 extra hours. The snow was ridiculous! Alas, it lasted one night and by midday Saturday it was all gone.  We spent the days shopping and one night at what I'd class their version of a TGI Fridays. It's not the same at all - but it was a fun night out!
At the end of the weekend I was sad to go, especially as I'd loved to have spent more time with my cousins. But I know I can always go back to Portugal to see them anytime I'd like to... It's just a shame it's so far away and expensive.

Following my fun weekend away, I celebrated successfully being offered a place to study next year! It was the best thing to happen to me this year crossing it off my 2016 goals! John took me out for a meal and I bought cakes for everyone at home. And being the best thing to happen to me for a while, I can't help my absolute happiness right now.

Easter weekend was fun too bringing a lot of family together. This time my aunt and uncle came over on the Eurostar to spend Easter here. We were planning on going to Madame Tussauds Saturday but knowing the Easter rush would be happening we knew it wouldn't be a good idea. Instead - we went shopping. Because that's what we do best! Saturday night was even more fun. After my mum and dad had finished work, we all got ready and went to the Casino for a light gamble. We're big fans of 10p roulette machines! It was 7 of us and I got to wear my fancy new shoes I bought from Quiz! We got home at about 3am and I felt like an old lady. I was tired and I couldn't keep my eyes open despite the drive I'd just conquered!
To end the Easter weekend, Sunday was a family filled day with a full on roast and an extra full on chatty house. We played Just Dance 3, ate chocolate eggs and lollipop bunnies along side that roast, and me and Maria tweeting each other sarcastic faces! (That's my cousin by the way - she's just started a blog too that you should check out.)

March is definitely a month I don't feel I could top right now, but April is looking pretty snazzy if I do say so myself. I've got the first two weeks off to look forward to, including a week in Santorini and a few relaxed days back home in what I hope will be sunny spring days. I'd love to go out to the park with my younger siblings and take some lovely photos. April doesn't bring much else so far but I'm way to excited about Santorini that I can't think past it. Tell me! What are you looking forward to this April?
