Wishlist | Winter Shoes

It's been a while since my last wishlist and I guess it's mainly because I wasn't really into this year's Spring/Summer trends. Now that Autumn/Winter is in full swing I've spotted a few things that I like, especially in the shoe department. I love myself a pair of boots and something that's what I would describe as a subtle statement, so I've picked some of my favourites that I've spotted online to showcase and round up what I'm looking for in my shoe collection right now.

For me, it's important that a pair of shoes works for a variety of outfits. I don't like going too bold or out of my colour choices that I have only one or two outfits to wear it with. I'm sure this is the same with everyone, but as my style changes, I care about this a lot more. A few years ago I would have gone for a shoe just because, but now, versatility is important to me. It's got to go with most of my wardrobe.

Right now, I'd love a couple of pairs of over-the-knee boots. Classic black ones and I think a grey or nude pair would be nice too, just to lighten up some outfits. And a bold red pair would sit well in my collection too. I used to have a couple of red pairs so I know it would work for me. I'm also a fan of all these embroidered boots at the moment. I love all the different styles and I love that it's that subtle statement that I'd be looking for. It would work so well with plain jeans, skirt or a dress.

If anything, I'm finding flats to be a tricky thing to work with at the moment. There's isn't much I like and I worry about looking like my foot is too big. Chunky heels fit my style and shoe size best but I love a good pair of skater shoes or pumps. I did recently buy a pair of pink studded ones that I tried on in store and fit like a dream. Oddly though, I brought them home and they didn't seem to fit the same. I don't know what it was but I didn't keep them and I was a bit disappointed because I truly loved the way they looked.

I'm in the market to switch up my shoes a little bit now. I'm definitely not a stiletto heels kinda gal anymore. Bring me the chunky heels, bright colours and subtle statements!
